HiL Test Engineer

About the Role
• Design effective and efficient test programs to achieve test coverage and full system validation of safety requirements and scenarios, drawing on: analysis, simulation, HIL testing, and vehicle testing.
• Define, update test scenarios according to the requirements to be validated and defined test coverage rates (ensure traceability between requirements and scenarios)
• Analyze system requirements to understand the safety concept.
• Design, develop, and operate test equipment and test automation infrastructure.
• Develop and execute the technical and logistical planning of tests including cross-functional coordination with other teams: systems engineering, firmware, vehicle engineering, operations, software HIL, and AI software
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the field, and trace failures to subsystems and components.
• Perform test data analysis and report test results. Define and develop automated data extraction and analysis tools to streamline analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HIL testing methodologies, including HIL system design, development, and implementation
• Experience with complex HIL setup and test involving multiple controllers and harnesses
• Experience with HIL test automation, scripting languages, and software development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, etc.
• Understanding software/controls development and the interaction with mechatronic components it controls (switches, relays, other control modules)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams
• Knowledgeable with automotive electronics and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
